Jim Moran appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews on Friday night and made this remark:
“This may be the most successful six — last six months in American presidential history. I can’t think of a time that we have accomplished as much as we have. And in fact, you know, in the last six months, more jobs were created than Bush was able to generate in eight years, Chris. People don’t understand that. The economy has recovered.”
Mr. Moran, the unemployment rate is at 9.7%. That’s 15,000,000 people still looking for work. Plus, many of the new jobs created last month were temporary census jobs that will disappear soon. And you’re really saying the economy has recovered?! Tell that to the working men and women who can’t afford to put food on the table for their families.
Moran is out of touch and delusional. He needs to go. This November we can show him how it feels to lose your job, then maybe he’ll have second thoughts about whether the economy is “recovered”.
The remark begins at 0:27.
